History
1957
Established by Nissho Co., Ltd. (now Sojitz Corporation).
1962
Started manufacturing and selling polypropylene pipes made from polypropylene resin, known as FUJI Polylen-PP.
1973
Developed FRTP (Fiberglass Reinforced Thermo-Plastics) pipes by chemically bonding special polypropylene resin with glass fiber. Began manufacturing and selling these as FUJI GRP pipes.
1988
Launched the FUJI Pipe 7000 Series, a special fully corrosion-resistant laminated pipe using highly corrosion-resistant polyester resin and high-strength, highly corrosion-resistant glass fiber as reinforcing material.
1989
Capital participation by Nippon Kokan (NKK) Corporation (now JFE Engineering Corporation).
1990
Started selling rollers. Began selling RO vessels.
2003
Became part of the JFE Engineering Group following the merger of NKK and Kawasaki Steel Corporation.
2014
To strengthen sales by expanding product range, started selling electrofusion fittings (EF) for FUJI GRP pipes.
2016
Became a wholly-owned subsidiary of JFE Engineering Corporation.
